The natural power and providence are full of mystery.
Anytime and anywhere, that has been called “God”, “spirit”,”phantom” or “ghost”, and has been practiced with awe.
The wind rustles, and the sun flames.
Ceremonial rites are rooted in each regions’ festivals and “Itadakimasu”(means “Thank you for your meal” but it has many more meaning, for example, thank for animal or fish that we eat, etc.) .
I feel the invisible existence in them.
The nature is many-sided, not only holy but also terrifying.
It gives us both beautiful blessings and terrible disaster.
Worshipped Gods have changed their appearance in each countries, and phantoms and ghosts become Gods sometimes.
Considering from mentioned, I will continue searching after “what a definition of God, phantom and ghost is”, feeling the powerful natural force swirling in religion, facing my works, and having a dialogue with them.
(Yuko Miyama)
Energy, release, pray, Asia, belief, life, mystery, affection, providence, the universe… we can grasp many keywords from her works.
“The invisible mystery power” makes an impression and give us mysterious feeling.
I’d like many people to see her wonderful works full of creativity.
